About Us

Established in 2007 with an initial capital of R20 million, Barloworld Siyakhula embodies Barloworld's commitment to the transformation of the South African economy through the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) framework.

The name "Siyakhula" translates from isiZulu and isiXhosa to "we are growing", reflecting our core vision: to grow enterprises through meaningful investment and partnerships. We recognise that Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) is critical to stimulating job creation, economic growth, and transformation in South Africa. Our mission is to provide financial and operational support to existing small and medium-sized suppliers, support the development of new business opportunities within the Barloworld value chain, and align our efforts with national strategies such as the Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative of South Africa and the Department of Trade and Industry's Codes of Good Practice.
