From Nothing to Something - Re-Inc Creative Agency

April 2022
EDITION #4

Some people are taught how to be entrepreneurs, but some are born with entrepreneurship coursing through their veins. “The Phoenix,” as Tshepiso Mofokeng was known initially by his Kasi mates, followed by colleagues and friends, sold sweets, chocolates, and mowed lawns as a teenager, boldly setting himself apart immediately as a “born entrepreneur” due to the flame of entrepreneurship which he always felt within.

Stepping into the unknown, as the first entrepreneur in his family, Tshepiso recalls how stressful it was at first, with no one to fall back on for assistance and not a soul to guide or mentor him, but he was confident that he would figure this challenge out because entrepreneurship was where his heart lay from the very beginning. With only a 12th-grade certificate under his belt and the assurance of creativity as his gift, Tshepiso registered a company called Reincarnation Events. It has since transitioned through many phases from events to marketing, creation, and finally, Re- inc Creative Agency, as it is currently known.

Tshepiso’s vision has always been “to bring something different out of the ordinary,” and so, self-taught, through online internet access, Tshepiso now boasts a variety of skills from image design to web design, web to graphic design, signage, marketing, and branding among others. Re-inc Creative Agency is based in Benoni, Gauteng, with its doors open for 14 years, proving to Tshepiso and many others that anything is possible when one puts their mind to it.

When prodded for the secret to his company’s success throughout its many transformations, he asserts that it is the motivation of “how can we do it better?”  Before becoming a beneficiary of Siyakhula, Re-inc initially provided services to the Barloworld Offices in Boksburg, where its apparel business still supplies PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) wear to Barloworld Logistics division, amongst others. Included within the base skills of the apparel business is not only the design and manufacturing of PPEs but also a variety of corporate wear, which enhances the look of a company with that “special touch.”

Being a Siyakhula beneficiary, Tshepiso hopes to realize his dreams of empowering people by rewriting the narrative of ‘nothing to something,’ often drawing energy from pain, which he, in turn, says builds character. “An entrepreneur needs to be self-reliant in the journey of entrepreneurship to enable themselves to secure their tomorrow.”

Tshepiso’s plans for Re-inc include developing a branding hub, and as that vision develops, the company currently offers clients 10 key offerings from the ground up.

This offering is defined as including the concept where there is a matching process between the client's business concept and appropriate design, followed by company registrations and concluded by a focus on the marketing activities where Re-inc assists with a logo design, social media marketing, creating a fully rounded strategy to promote the business, including branding made more accessible with access to all streams. The service offering also includes boosting posts on client services or products, which will direct the reader back to the website. Additional services include Graphic design, branding, signage, and hosting services on web design products.

Having a tool that acts as a lens from both a customer and a marketer’s perspective is imperative, especially as the world is firmly in the era of Business Sustainability.

Business Sustainability is a strategy that ensures that all pillars of the business are balanced from an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspect.  Business owners and big corporates are cognizant that companies do not operate in a vacuum.  For any business to survive and thrive nowadays, it is essential to look at all business aspects and ensure that these are balanced, or the company is doomed to fail.  Although Re-inc’s past is one of grit, determination, and pushing boundaries to achieve what many deem unachievable, Re-inc’s future has been set on capturing “the marketing secret,” which is a deliberate incorporation of Sustainability.
