The Bread Box Bakery and Studio has proved that hard work and dedication pay off, claiming the 2022 Talk Radio 702 Small Business Award!
The 702 Small Business Awards honour Small and Medium Enterprises that provide outstanding customer service while turning every penny into profit. This award recognizes all South African Enterprises that surpass expectations to make an impact and develop their local communities.
The public nominated Small Businesses that they believed were deserving of the award. This was followed by a select panel of judges who faced the challenging task of choosing one winner from the top ten most commendable Small Businesses.
Matlhogonolo Ledwaba, CEO of The Bread Box Bakery and Studio, could not believe that her company was "The Chosen One" when announced as the most impressive Small Business of the year, 2022. She attributes her accomplishments to persistence and consistency. Matlhogonolo shared that being an entrepreneur is not an easy job and that throwing in the towel often seems like an option. Witnessing the impacts, they have on their local community in Midrand is evidence that positive mindsets create productive teams which motivates them to give their absolute best, day after day.
In conversation, Matlhogonolo expressed that The Bread Box Bakery and Studio was given the opportunity to join the family of beneficiaries in the Barloworld Siyakhula ESD Programme. She further stated that it was due to Prudence Gololo believing in her vision that she was granted the opportunity and the fundamental tools to grow and achieve excellence. The prestigious Small Business Award 2022 presented to Matlhogonolo is a well-deserved reward for her dedication and commitment to business growth and community development.
